Terms of Service — ArabicPro

By creating an account on ArabicPro, you agree to the following. The text is deliberately short.

What you may do

Use the app to learn, on your personal devices, as much as you like. The content (lessons, audio, books, artwork) is lent to you for that purpose: you may not copy it, resell it, or republish it.

Your account

One account per learner. You are responsible for your password. Tell us if you think someone else has access.

From the age of 16, you can create your account yourself. Under 16, a parent creates the account and gives their consent, confirmed by email. The parent then accepts these terms for their child. They choose a 4-digit parent code, which protects the parent space and the subscription. The details are in the privacy policy, under "Children and parents".

Plans and subscription

Part of the content is free. Two paid plans open the rest:

Essential: all the courses and reviews, and every book except Qisas an-Nabiyyin, with voice checking for vowelled letters, syllables and words.
Plus: everything in Essential, with the book Qisas an-Nabiyyin and 300 minutes of guided reading per month. Plus is only offered when that feature is available.

The price, in your currency, is shown on the purchase screen before any payment.

The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
Cancel in your App Store or Google Play settings, at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Payment is taken by Apple or Google, never by us.
Refunds follow Apple's or Google's rules.
You can restore a purchase on a new device from the subscription screen.

Guided reading with Plus

This feature is included in the Plus plan and can only be used when it is available in the app. Plus includes 300 minutes of reading analysis per month, on the monthly and the yearly plan alike. Minutes are calculated from the analysed audio duration, including silence. Browsing a book or playing back a recording does not use these minutes. Completed analyses without recognised speech count towards usage; a recording confirmed as rejected before processing releases its reservation. A recording already sent whose result cannot be recovered still counts towards usage, without automatic resubmission. Additional usage is never billed automatically.

What you may not do

Share, resell or lend your account.
Extract the app's content by automated means.
Attempt to reach another user's data.
Falsify the leaderboard.

We may suspend an account that does any of these.

What we do not promise

The app is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors, and we do not guarantee any particular learning outcome.

Ending

You may leave whenever you like by deleting your account from Profile → gear (Settings) → Danger zone. We may close an account that breaks these terms, with notice unless that is impossible.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, where SMFK NOUR LLC is registered. Failing an amicable agreement, the courts of Bernalillo County, New Mexico, have jurisdiction.

If you live in the European Union, this choice does not take away any protection the law of your country gives consumers, and you may also bring a claim before the courts of your country.
